We start our adventure early in the morning, with the pick-up at our hotel and a bus ride to the north of Lanzarote.
The starting point is Órzola, from where we embark at 11:00 a.m. on a ferry that will take us to La Graciosa, the smallest inhabited island in the Canary Islands archipelago. The crossing takes about 25 minutes, enough time to enjoy the views and feel the sea breeze on your face.
Once in La Graciosa, we land at the port of Caleta de Sebo, the island’s charming capital. Here we take a stroll through its sandy streets, while discovering the history of the Chinijo archipelago, which includes La Graciosa, Alegranza, Montaña Clara and Los Roques.
But the real adventure begins when we return to the port and board a sailing catamaran. With a mojito and a welcome pincho de tortilla in hand, we set off along the south coast of La Graciosa.
We soon anchor at Playa Francesa, a paradisiacal spot with turquoise waters and golden sand. Here we have free time to enjoy the beach, cool off with a swim and enjoy water activities such as snorkelling or kayaking.
At 14:00, the aroma of paella fills the sailboat. It’s time for lunch, which also includes fresh fruit and a special gluten-free menu for celiacs. During all this time, we have an open bar of beer, sangria, soft drinks and water.
The afternoon is spent sailing along the southern coast of La Graciosa, before returning to the dock at Caleta de Sebo. From there, we take the ferry back to Órzola. A bus awaits us to take us back to the different tourist areas of Lanzarote.
In short, this trip is a unique opportunity to discover La Graciosa in an authentic and fun way. Don’t forget to bring your National Identity Card or passport, as well as comfortable clothes and shoes.
